We paddled under the Milky Way, painted at sunrise and sunset, swam, shared incredible local food, and connected deeply with nature and each other. Megan doesn’t just teach painting—she gives you space to find your own style. I left with new skills, unforgettable memories, and a vision of what community rooted in care for the land can look like. I recommend this trip wholeheartedly.”\n“A highlight was rafting all the canoes together in the middle of the river to paint the sunset followed by a starlit night paddle where the river relecting the sky made me feel as if I was in a globe of stars.  I’m already looking forward to next year.”\nRead more and see pictures on the Spokane Riverkeeper River Journal found here ( https://www.spokaneriverkeeper.org/riverjournal/2025/7/31/art-on-the-water-a-paint-amp-paddle-journey ).\nCost: $500/ participant\nSpaces are limited, and registration is required.\nCost includes:\n\n\nMeals and snacks\n\n\nA seat on the boat, PFD, paddle and instruction\n\n\nExpert painting guidance and supplies from artist Megan Perkins\n\n\n Floating discussions with river guides and Riverkeeper staff\n\n\nOvernight camping at Detillion Campground (permits provided)\n\n\nShared meals, storytelling, and time for reflection and restoration\n\n\nPacking list, itinerary, and waiver forms are available upon sign-up.\nQuestions?
