World Cleanup Day – Spokane Riverkeeper

There is no better way to spend World Cleanup Day than volunteering for a clean river! Join us for a day of community action and river care.

🗓 Date: Saturday, September 19th, 2026
🕘 Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
📍 Location (Select one of the five available locations when registering): High Bridge Park, Islands Trailhead, Barker Rd Trailhead, Mirabeau Trailhead, or Harvard Rd trailhead.

Parking: there is free parking available on site.

Cost: Free! (Suggested donation of $5 to Spokane Riverkeeper)

Help us keep the Spokane River beautiful by volunteering to remove litter and debris from the spokane valley and downtown river corridor. This is a great opportunity to give back to the river that gives us so much — and to connect with fellow river stewards.

What to Expect:
✔️ All cleanup supplies provided (trash bags, gloves, grabbers)
✔️ Family-friendly and group-friendly
✔️ Volunteer hours available

What to Bring and Wear:

• Wear sturdy walking shoes and dress for the weather.

• Bring sunscreen, gloves, and a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated while you work.

• Bring a trash picker if you have one, we will have a limited number available.

All participants must sign the Spokane Riverkeeper Waiver prior to participating in this event.
